When looking for a real estate agent, you need someone who is willing to be your advocate. The real estate agent who closes the most deals may not be the best agent for you, despite their good track record. You need a real estate agent who understands what you want, and what you are trying to accomplish. You do not want an agent who has their own agenda. A good real estate agent will know your market, they will give you sound advice and listen to your ideas. They should help you find a way to meet your goals rather than encouraging you to change them. There are many great real estate agents out there. Most real estate agents will have you sign a six month contract for their services, so it is important that you make sure you are on the same page prior to making that commitment.
