If I were going to attempt to hide my IP address for any reason, I think that I would have to use a VPN service to do it. They’re not that difficult to use in this day and age, and they’re actually very readily available if you know where to look for them. I’ll even give you a hint: Google. But, why would I want to hide my IP address, you ask? Well, that’s a great question my friend.

I suppose there are any number of reasons one might want to keep their IP address private. First and foremost, I think I’m just a private (read paranoid) person. I hear horror stories constantly about identity theft, and people who hack into your account for apparently no other reason than to just mess you up. So, the more secure I can make my online activities, the better I’m going to feel about being online. Another reason for hiding my IP address is to make sure I’m not being charged with something I didn’t even know was illegal. I read an article recently about a guy who forwarded a link to his friend of a video. The video was apparently copyrighted, which he was apparently ignorant of. Regardless, the man is now being charged with copyright infringement. It seems a little ludicrous to me, but you just never know what big brother might do if they don’t approve of your activities.

I lived in Maryland for many years. I’m not exactly the most fit guy around town; I blame it on all the time I’ve spent blogging and typing on the computer, rather than pumping weights at the gym with my buddies. Which, on retrospect, I probably should have done more of.

So instead, I’ve been recently taking a look at the P90X workout program I saw advertised on television recently. I know what you’re thinking; that I’m a fool for even beginning to indulge in those commercial ads, right? Maybe I am a fool, but the P90X workout program doesn’t look too bad. I mean, I need to get into shape for the ladies, and FAST. I don’t have a year or two to be pumping weights and running my buns off. And that’s where the program comes in.

I’ll probably check into the program myself and subject myself to some sweat-inducing, muscle pumping owrkouts, so if you don’t hear from me for a while, don’t worry. I’m just getting pumped.

In just two months I get to fly all the way to Jaco Costa Rica for a vacation. I have never been out of the country before, so this will be quite an adventure for me. My mom, my three sisters and I are going, just the five of us. No husbands, brothers or kids are coming. Each of our husbands decided that we needed to get away and relax on a fun vacation together and they offered to stay home and watch the kids.

We decided to stay in the Jaco vacation rentals, which we have heard nothing but great things about. We are so excited to stay there because they have a great reputation for treating their guests well, and there are so many fun things to do nearby. Just about 50 minutes away is the Manuel Antonio National Park that we are planning on spending an entire day at. We will be able to swim in the calm turquoise waters and rest in the shade of a tree in a gentle breeze, but only after a lengthy guided walk through the rainforest. During our walk we will most likely see sloths, rain frogs, toucans, three types of monkeys and several more interesting creatures. What an adventure! I am so excited to go and have fun experiences with my mom and sisters.

I love buying cheap things. I shop all year for Christmas, birthdays and other holidays. I have a box (or sometimes I keep several boxes) at the top of my closet that is full of items I have found on sale and clearance for upcoming holidays and birthdays.

Currently I am on the look out for cheap iPod accessories for my husband. I found a great deal on an iPod and think it will be perfect for Father’s Day or some other holiday, but I would love to find some cheap iPod accessories to go with it.

I’m always buying cheap books because they are perfect presents. I feel like you can give a picture book to a child of any age. I have my daughters 6th birthday, my other daughters 4th birthday, a niece’s 2nd birthday and my other niece’s 1st birthday all this summer, and I have several books for each one. All my in-laws have just come to expect books for birthdays and Christmas.

I think buying presents early, when you find them on sale, is a great way to tighten your budget. By shopping all year you can find the sales and spread the amount of money you spend over the year, rather than all at once.

I decided to finish the college degree that I have been putting off for a long time. I was really nervous about being an adult and having to go to classes with a bunch of young teenagers. I was feeling intimidated by the thought of sitting alone in class and feeling stupid for not finishing it when I was younger.

Schooling for anyone can be stressful but it is especially stressful for an adult returning to school. I feel like there is a lot of pressure on me to finish that wasn’t there when I was younger. I am stronger now though so I will not let the stress get to me and I will finish.
