In most businesses all paperwork is going viral — and by viral I mean virtual. And by virtual I mean online, like electronic. Remember how electronic mail changed mail forever?? Who sends “real mail” or “snail mail” anymore? This, because it is a novelty, like a typewriter is actually making snail mail a little more popular, or rather it is now a hot commodity, instead of the only option. How weird is it how communication has evolved from grunts to pictures to smoke signals to written communication and mail to email?? Now we don’t even have to leave our homes to communicate.
Now there are things called an emr system, where you can access all of your medical records electronically. Some are even web based emr! I think it is a pretty cool invention because now we don’t have to read doctor’s handwriting anymore to try and figure out what is wrong with us! Even the United Nation’s World Health Organization (or WHO if you are in the know) is not for the emr system, which makes me like it even more! But in 2008, only like 30 percent of medical offices were integrating the emr system into their practice. I think it sounds like a brilliant idea!
